It is a simple metaphor with a simple meaning: Eliot Marshall wants to fight in the UFC and will not accept any substitutes. After an unforeseen cut from the UFC, a full year in exile, a three fight win streak and an injury to another light heavyweight, “The Fire” Marshall is finally back and ready to play in the mixed martial arts version of the NFL.

Nonito Donaire with 2nd round KO against Fernando Montiel

It’s final and executory, this is the usual dialogue of our lawmakers when they discuss about a case result. Well, in the case of the Donaire vs Montiel fight, It is final, Nonito, The Filipino Flash wins via a round 2 TKO over the now former champ, Montiel. We finally have another Manny Pacquiao to be proud of.

But of course, Donaire does and will not live under the shadows of the greatest boxer in the world because he is yet to make another statement with the upcoming defense of his newly acquired titles. This is the 2 belts under his name, the WBO and WBC bantamweight championship belts. Congratulations to Nonito Donaire for winning this for himself and for the Filipino people. And to Manny Pacquiao on his upcoming fight agains Sugar Shane Mosley, good luck! We know you can do it!

UFC blog halts for Donaire Montiel fight tomorrow

February 20 will mark another day in history as Studio 23 local channel in the Philippines brings Donaire vs Montiel live stream event in their channel. I just hope that this will not rip off people with endless commercials as i was not able to see if tickets are available in SM cinemas.
